HSE

ARKK Engineering requires an active commitment to, and accountability for health, safety and the environment from all workers and contractors. Safety is paramount and it is the responsibility of all workers, at all levels of the company. Our workers and subcontractors are required to comply with established policies and procedures, which have been developed to meet or exceed the legislative requirements.

Our HSE policies and procedures are guided by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislation.

Our Policy is:

• To comply with the applicable laws and regulations, and to customer requirements; apply company standards where laws do not exist.
• To lead, train and motivate our people to work in a responsible and safe manner.
• To identify, assess and manage risks that impact health, safety and the environment prior to commencing work activities, as circumstances change.
• To foster a culture that empowers and supports anyone intervening to safeguard people and to protect the work environment.
• To require sub-consultants and sub-contractors to manage health, safety and environment using standards and practices that align with client’s and our standards.
• To implement health management programs including effective injury management and rehabilitation, to maintain and improve the well-being of our personnel and resources.

QUALITY

Our Quality Management System is developed with ownership in mind. Our concept of quality extends well beyond the end product. Our team takes pride in their work and is accountable for their workmanship.

We believe the quality improvement process is not the sole responsibility of the Quality Control personnel, but an intrinsic function in which the whole organization participates.

Our Quality Management System ensures that systems and procedures are in place to properly execute and deliver quality engineering work. Much like an ISO quality system, our operating manuals cover a wide spectrum of areas of activities that are pertinent to a sound quality system.

Our objectives are:

• To assure clients (internal and external) that quality is “built in” to our services and products.
• To plan and to execute how that will be accomplished within our QA/QC guidelines, owners QA and contractor QC expectations.

Customers benefit from our Quality Program by:

• Understanding who is responsible and accountable for what in our organization;
• Having the ability to compare our system with theirs when assessing needs;
• Knowing that systems are in place to assure compliance and address non-compliance and apply corrective action.
